Therapy for individuals and families in Charlotte, North Carolina
Lauren Vandemore, MS, LCMHC
I believe meaningful change happens when people feel seen and understood, and I'm committed to offering a space that feels welcoming, supportive, and grounded in truly understanding you and your experiences

Therapy is a process based on trust. I highly value my relationships with clients and understand the absolute importance of professionalism, confidentiality, and privacy in a non-judgmental and safe space. I want my clients to feel able to speak freely and express themselves candidly knowing that I am here for it all!

About
Education and Background
I have a master of science degree in clinical rehabilitation and mental health counseling from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
I have experience working with clients across the lifespan with varying concerns including anxiety, depression, disordered eating patterns, body image issues, relationship challenges, life transitions, and more.
I particularly enjoy working with older children, adolescents, and young adults with challenges rooted in emotional over-control; I love helping those with rigid expectations and perfectionism work toward flexibility, openness, and social connectedness.
My goal is to create space for clients to process, explore, heal, and learn skills to move toward their therapeutic goals. I find that it is so important to be curious and interested in getting to know our emotions and what they are telling us. I am passionate about helping people navigate the complexities of life while keeping their values top of mind.
